So far I’ve take the unit on the boat 12 miles off shore and has worked great. Good product
We have used StarBatt for camping in our travel trailer, multi-day SxS trips, and multi-day rafting trips.
When using with the travel trailer, I have a remote switch (from Amazon) that I I use to turn ON/OFFthe StarBatt from inside the trailer. Very handy.
Had a small issue with the USB outlet not turning on, but StarBatt quickly repaired it.
Very responsive company, quality product and, for what you get, a reasonable price (I considered building my own, but it would have cost me almost as much to do so).
Love this product. Well built and long battery life.
My only complaint… it needs to have a spot to store the charging cored on the unit.
So glad I bought this setup and no longer carry extra gear to setup the Starlink mini. I’ve literally laid it down, pressed the power button and I’m up and running for 24hrs and tested it in Big Bend National Park. I hooked up my 150 watt solar panel and it kept it charged continuously! May seem pricey but it’s a great investment.
This is the perfect package for those looking for an all in one system. It provides protection for the Mini dish when transporting and holds a charge for long periods of time when not used, mine sat for a month of no use and didn’t lose more than .1% of charge.
The first few times using it your Starlink will be a little awkward to install, but after that it will wear in and slide in neatly. The provided cable allows the case to be fully opened and remain plugged in. In stationary applications in higher temps I recommend running your Starlink outside of the case and letting the case remain open for air flow as it will get quite warm. If on the roof of the car though it seems to remain cool due to the air flow.
I’ve used it while driving in remote areas to provide phone service and data connection without interruptions. I’ve also used it on the boat to provide connection in areas where normally there is no data connection. So long as you ensure the ports are all closed and the lid latched I haven’t had a single issue with dust or water ingress (splashed).
Only complaint I have is that the pre-order took a long time, but having it now I can’t complain one bit. It has constantly performed as stated and the battery life is incredible. I have yet to use it with the solar panel, but when I do I am going to make sure to leave a review of that as well.
If you find yourself using your Starlink Mini on the go or in the wilderness frequently than I would definitely recommend this. Not advisable for those who RV or boaters with an inverter as a longer cord or inverter will do the job cheaper, but if you need to have the portability and lightweight (compared to a generator) it will absolutely be worth the cost.
