The Star-Batt Plus isn’t just a battery — it’s a rugged, FAA-compliant mobile connectivity platform built for real-world performance wherever the mission takes you.

I’ve been very impressed with the Star-Batt system (rugged case battery + 160w solar panel). It provides a reliable ~24-hour standalone power solution for my Starlink Mini, completely independent from the house battery system on my sailboat.
That separation and redundancy is extremely valuable offshore. I prefer critical communication capability to remain isolated from primary vessel power, and this system accomplishes that cleanly.
The solar panel has provided strong daytime recharge performance, and the battery capacity has matched the stated specifications in real-world use at sea.
As a solo sailor currently making my way toward the start of the Golden Globe Race, where I will eventually disconnect from all modern electronics, having dependable communications capability during the preparation voyage offers both practical safety and peace of mind.
Well designed, well executed, and performs as advertised.
I own two, a Mini and a Plus. Both work outstanding no matter the location. My kids picked up a used piece of farm equipment in central CA from Oregon and threw the Mini on the equipment, worked great with four I-pads and two phones running constantly. I use the other traveling from Utah to Oregon and rarely if ever have any connection issues. Speed is beyond what I need. Highly recommend.
Great product very well built. I would recommend the Star-Batt to anyone who travels off grid. I recommend that you purchase the solar panels though if you do not have a way to charge it. I purchased the solar Panels and they work great. I even leave them plugged in while I am using my Star-Batt Plus during the day and gives you more than 24 hours once the sun goes down. The Staff at Star-Batt customer service are top Knoch. They answered all my emails with in 24 hours and sometimes sooner. If you are wondering if it worth the price, trust me it is. Safe Travels.
I bought the Star Batt for my Starlink mini.
Mainly for off grid access in case of an issue. Tested it out and worked amazing.
Used it for mapping and some internet access.
First, its rugged and ready for anything, strapped onto Jeep and out to desert.
No issues at all, internet access was perfect. I dont stream movies, but had battery to spare upon return.
Highly recommend this. Took a minute to justify expense, but after getting it, it was worth every penny.
Quality product for sure.
I’ve been using the Star-Batt for over a month now and it is by far the best product for the Starlink mini. The only thing I would suggest is if there was a way to turn it on and off by a remote devise or phone app.
